Introduction
This is only a short guide to the Italian alphabet and to the correct
pronunciation of the various italian sounds. It is divided into 5 sections.
In the first I examine the alphabet itself and the stress marks that Italian
adopts, in the second I look at double consonants, I then talk in the
third section of letters that can be pronounced in two different ways,
mute letters and so on. A fourth section speaks of stress in the Italian
language, while the last section gives
word lists in several European languages in which each letter of
the Italian alphabet is confronted with a word in other languages where
the same sound is present, giving this way a rough pronunciation guide.
